Biography
With an unmistakable fresh sound somewhere in between indiepop and noise, Lunastrip create their own caleidoscope of female charm, dancable grooves and beautiful melodies. where the weightless intimacy of the moment meets grounded passion, straight but catchy, gentle yet noisy. Lunastrip hit the map back in 2002. through a number of line up changes the current band emerged in 2004, writing songs & playing gigs around the German rhein/ruhr-area.

In 2004 the band teamed up with Dennis Koehne, close friend and engineer in the Woodhouse Studio (www.woodhouse.de). The Woodhouse exists for 25 years and is well known in the alternative/metal/rock scene. Till now Lunastrip recorded 8 songs as a promo, which might be put out as an EP later. But as this is half way to an album, they might also add some more... Lunastrip is unsigned, searching a small indie label to put out their stuff.

» Daniela Pollei > Vocals. Dani joined the band in 2004, when her former band "Halb so wild" split. Her background as an artist till then was more gothic rock / metal, she still does some recordings as guest vocals. She´s got a wide interest in music.
» Sonja Schneider > Electric Violin. Sonja is founding member of Lunastrip back in 2002. She´s got a classical violin background, which became boring when she discovered the fun of playing in bands beside the classical path. Sonja takes the "lead guitar" role with lots of melodies, sometimes sweet and nice sometimes very alternative. She plays four and five string Zetas through a Mesa Boogie amprack & 4x12 cab, wahwah and all kinds of spacy effectstuff... Sonja likes all kinds of alternative music and more.
» Christian Gleißner > Guitars. Putting down the basic song structure, Chris takes the typical parts of rhythm guitar. He likes all kinds of alternative popmusic and collegerock/powerpop.
» Sebastian Becker > Bass Guitar. Beside that he´s a fantastic pianoand guitar player. Bastel must know every song of the 80ies and he likes all kinds of styles. from van halen to madonna to michael jackson. very strange...
» Tobias Brocke > Drums. Original member of Lunastrip and long time friend. Tobis personal taste of music lies more on the rough side of life. He likes punk/hardcore and adds the necessary punch, when it gets too washed out...
